Washi Tape

Today's card is made using Washi/Paper tape. I made it for the Moxie Fab Challenge: The Washi tape Challenge. They challenge you to use Washi tape in an innovative way. Using Washi tape isn't hard at all, because it comes in so many lovely colors and patterns. And it can be used in so many different ways!
But to use it in an innovative way is much more difficult. But I gave it a try.
First I sticked some strips of tape on a piece of white cardstock, than cut a butterfly, and than cut the wings out of the piece with tape on it.
And here it is; a colorful fancy butterfly!

The butterfly is cut out with my Cricut, using the "Straight from the Nest" Cartridge.
The background is made with a background stamp by Impression Obsession. It is stamped with Hero Arts shadow ink on Hero Arts layering paper. The paper tape is bought at HEMA(Netherlands).

Pattern Play

This week I was participating in the Online Class: Pattern Play.
It was so much fun to see the video's. And I learned so much! I really loved it to get a lot of wonderful lessons, all kind of tips and idea's.

It is not only that you can watch the video's but also you have to do some "homework".
By doing that you can make things your own.
And of course it is a lot of fun!

This card is made after seeing a video on Day 1 by Jennifer.

Instead of die cuts I used my Cricut to cut the hearts. I was using the "Don Juan" cartridge. The paper is by Basic Grey and has the name "Kissing Booth". The sentiment is Hero Arts from the CL036 set "Number Two", and I used Royal Red Midtone Ink to stamp with.
Than added some punched hearts and covered them with glossy accents.
On the edges I applied softly Color Box Ink.
Doing that the hearts stand out some more.

Hope you like my card.

Mosaic

Today I want to show you two cards I did lately with the mosaic technique.
Saw the idea on Hero Arts Blog a while ago. One of these cards I entered in Lucy's Sketch Challenge. But I made two, so here they come.

And here you can see them both.

The dotted paper is Papertrey Ink. The paper I used for the tiles is Hero Arts Layering paper. The sentiments are Hero Arts.
And do you see the lovely organza ribbon. Can't get enough of it!
The little flower is pure siver!
The mosaic has a little bit of a shine on it. Thats because I used "Multi Coat" by Make Me...found it in my cupboard...totally forgot all about it...mmm, thats me :)
Hope you like it!
