Bloemengroet

It is almost the last day of my personal October challenge. I challenged my self to post a card everyday during this month. Cards I made for Church. Cards that will be send to elderly and ill people as a greet from our churchcommunity. I already made lots of these cards and always make photo's to document for myself. But during this month I thought it a good idea to share some of them. Two times I fell of and forgot to post, my excuses for that. And now to todays card.

The stamp I made this card with is a product of "Creafine", a dutch lady who brings out her OWN stamp sets. Except for the flowers stamp there are two dutch sentiments. One of them says:" Beterschapsbloemetje". The butterfly is Hero Arts, from the Antique Engravings stamp set.
Thanks for your visit! And remember: everyone who leave me a comment this month has a chance to get a little prize package from me!

Watch

Do you remember the men who owned a watch on a chain in their pocket? I do, the grandfather of my father had one.
So, this card is especially for a man, an elderly man, who can remember this.

The watch stamp is Deep Red "Pocket Watch". SKU 3x400115. The background is part of a stampset by Stampers Anonymous. "Attic Treasures" CMS 123. And do you see the metal pieces? These are components of the inside of a watch.

Cricut flowers

There's something I like very much, and that is making flowers with my Cricut! Here are some of them on a card I made for Church.

First I cut some flowers of watercolor paper with my Cricut. Then colored them with Distress Inks and made a collage with them on a stamped background. So fun to do. For this project I used: "A Mothersday Bouquet" cartridge. The background stamp is by Hero Arts. 331065 Lattice. Heat embossed with WoW Embossing powder.
Your comments and idea's are much appreciated!

As you know, or not, this month I post a card a day on my blog. These cards have a big size, because there has to be room enough for many names. These cards are for Church and will be send or are already sent to elderly and ill people.
Today a card with a real dutch scene.

This card is made with a dutch stampset:"Aurelie" AUCS1023 by Craftlines. The background I made myself. I am not good at it. Butt hope to get better :)
Thank you for being here for a while!

Yellow roses

One of my favorite stamps is the Antique Rose Stem by Hero Arts.

Stamped the rose twice, colored it with Distress Inks, cut them out and stamped some rose leaves, colored them with Distress Inks too, cut them out and made a collage on the card. This frame is by "My favorite things". The paper with little flowers is SEI. Love that paper!
Hope you liked your visit here!

Sentiment

As I said before, my cards for Church don't have a sentiment, because the greeting, in dutch of course, is inside the card! People who are old of ill, need a greeting in their OWN language. I prefer english sentiments far better than dutch sentiments. Dutch sentiments not always sound that fun or that kind or that neatly. So I have to admid that I don't have much sentiments. But sometimes as I don't use a sentiment or greeting, it seems so empty. And I found something for that: a hidden tekst. As you see here.

It is a cling stamp by Hero Arts, in the upper left corner. It is CG 197 OldLetter. First I sponged a piece of watercolor paper. Then stamped the middle stamp F8842 Beauty Roses by Impression Obsession. Colored it with Distress Inks. And then stamped some other images around it: D9301 Three Blooming Roses. And a piece of lace also Impression Obsession CC228 Crochet.

I can understand that you finally like to see whats inside the card?!

This is the greeting from our Church.
I hope that you found some inspiration and fun here. Thank you for visiting!

Butterflies

Butterflies are always good for a card for someone who is ill isn't it. I think it is! And I really love butterflies!

But not only real butterflies, also paper ones, as here on one of the cards for Church.

The butterfly is a die by Memory Box. I covered it with pink stickles. And adhered it on a piece of pattern paper! Finished! Easy!
Thank you for your visit here!

Super simple

What is more easy than take a piece of pattern paper. Stamp some flowers on a panel, color it, glue in on the card and...finished! This is such a card.

The flowers are Hero Arts. Colored with Bruijnzeel Aqua Pencils.

One of the things I really like, is to decorate my garden.

This was my garden this Summer.

I like to have plants in pots.

And now I decorated the garden table with some Autumn fruit.

Yes, thats me. In my little garden.

This was also a card for Church. Used some Hero Arts stamps. Colored with Copic Markers.

3D

First I must apologize for not posting a card for a couple of days...Yes, it's a real challenge for me to think of it each day!

In my village I have an admirer! A lady who like my cards. She, herself, is involved in cardmaking, but she is making "3D cards", as we say in the Netherlands. And she likes to get a share in making the cards for Church, and so she gave me some 3D panels she makes. It comes from her warm heart, and who am I to reject...?
So, I take her panels and make cards with it every now and than.

I use some background stamps to display her 3D panels. And that makes nice cards.
Show you more of it later this month.
Hope you like the idea! Because I do: it's double joy in my opinion!
Thank you for visiting!

Big

For the cards for Church I always use pattern paper with a white side, or a Hero Arts Layering paper wich has a white side. The reason: people can write their greeting and name on the inside. To fill a front of a card of this size, isn't always easy. So, often I go for flowers of a bigger size, such as these.

This flower is called: "Loving Lily", by Impression Obsession. (F9264) Stamped and heat embossed with gold and colored with Distress Inks. The background is Hero Arts and is called Classic Fabric Design. (CG245) Added some feathers, a tag and a banner, only for fun.
Hope you like your visit here. It is much appreciated!

Stamped the flowers with memento black, and colored them with Copic Markers. Then cut them and glued them on a kraft envelope by Maya Road.
And no, there's nothing in the envelope :) Just for fun.
Thanks for your visit!
Have a good week!

I am always struggling with men's cards. When I make cards for Church there have to be cards for men too, but it isn't easy. So thats why I bought this stampset by Stampin'Up. It is perfect to make cards for men.

The striped tag wich I used as a background is by Hero Arts.
If you have some idea's, I reccommend to share it in the comments. That would be much appreciated!!!

Sentiment...

Today again a card for Church. These cards have a greeting inside, so no sentiment at the front. Besides that...elderly and ill people like a greeting in their OWN language. I don't have that much sentiments in dutch, so we agreed in no using sentiments at the front. Here is a Autumn card I made recently.

The stamps are by Hero Arts: G5269 Tall Pumpkin and F5270 Traditional Pumpkin. I love them and used them often. This time heat embossed with gold and colored with Distress Inks. The leaves are cut with my Cricut machine and colored with Distress Inks.
While I was working on it I thought it was a bit "empty". So, I made another one for myself, smaller and with sentiment.

The sentiment and the ribbon gives it that something extra, don't you think?
Thank you for visiting!
And comments are much appreciated. Maybe someone has ideas to give a big card some "extra" without adding a sentiment?

Etched Flowers

For some reason I already used the Etched Flowers stamp by Hero Arts a lot for Church cards! You can use it as it is, but also cut loose the flowers and make another arrangement as I did here.

To make the background more interesting I stamped the flower stamp on it with soft sand Hero Arts Ink. And the red Etched flowers are glued on an ornament cut with my Cricut machine with silver card. And also added some red splatters on the background, with a Heidi Swapp spray.
Thats it for today. Thanks for visiting. Hope you come back soon. And remember: there will be a small envelope with dutch/european goodies for one of you who give me a comment in October!

The fourth of October

Because it is "Animal Day" today, I thought I have to share a card wich has an animal on it. So, I searched in my Church card photo's, and yes, I found one! Made it in May this year.

The paper is by SEI. The grasshopper is stamped and heat embossed on watercolor paper and colored with Distress Inks. The stamp is a birthday present of a couple of years ago. One of my friends let ik make after a photo I made. So, how fun is that!

Sunflowers

How I love sunflowers! When I saw this stampset used, I could not resist! The idea for this card I saw last April at "Arts Specially". A stamp event in the Netherlands. These stamps were used by Miranda Degenaars, a dutch stamper and a true artist! I learned a lot from her!

The stampset is called : Sunflower Set WP639 by Impression Obsession. The brick wall is made with the Brick Layering Stencil by Stampers Anonymous.
This is one of the cards for Church. You can read about in yesterdays post. Today I like to say something about the size of the card. These cards are mostly made with an Hero Arts Layering Paper folded in half. The benefit of this paper is that it has a white side. So, everyone can write his of her name on the white inside of the card!
Hope you liked your visit!

First sunday of the month...

This is the second day of challenging myself. Yesterday I told that I will challenge myself to post a card each day of this month October.
The card I show you today is made for Church. Every first sunday of the month, churchmembers can sign a card for a person who is ill, of for someone who is in a house for elderly people. Those cards are made by me, don't have a sentiment because the greeting is inside of the card.

This is todays card. Used some Hero Arts stamps and Simon Says Stamp stamps and colored it with Copic Markers. People love to have coffee with Apple pie. Me too :( !
Hope you liked your visit!
Comments are much appreciated! And remember, there will be a little prize for someone who comment this month!
